Zhejiang matcha group standard takes effect on 20 October

The Zhejiang matcha group standard officially took effect on 20 October. Developed through project initiation, drafting, consultation, technical review and approval, the standard provides systematic provisions on terminology, raw materials, products, test methods, inspection rules, packaging and storage, offering a unified technical reference for matcha production.^[1]

Previously, different enterprises had inconsistencies in raw material selection, processing techniques and quality grading. The implementation of this standard aims to change that by clarifying requirements at each stage to promote stability and consistency in Zhejiang matcha quality.^[1]
