On October 22, the 2026 National Jasmine Tea Production and Marketing Situation Analysis Meeting was held in Hengzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Participants included more than 300 people in total, comprising heads of industry associations, experts from scientific research institutes, key jasmine tea production and marketing enterprises, and representatives of new tea-beverage and supply-chain enterprises. Liao Zhiqi, Deputy Secretary of the Hengzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Hengzhou, gave a presentation at the meeting, introducing the production situation and industrial-extension direction of Hengzhou jasmine flowers and jasmine tea.[1]

The meeting released the Report on China's Jasmine Tea Production and Marketing Situation, which systematically reviews national jasmine tea production, circulation, and consumption, providing a reference for all participating parties in assessing the market. In the special-report session, Cao Zhongzhu of Fuzhou Bangli Tea Industry Co., Yin Junfeng, second-level researcher at the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Wang Dongming, General Manager of China Tea Fujian Co., gave reports on new tea-beverage market opportunities, deep processing of jasmine tea, and the global expansion of jasmine tea, respectively. Senior Engineer Zhou Qi and Wang Yun, President of the Sichuan Tea Circulation Association, introduced the current state and experience of jasmine tea industry development in Fuzhou and Sichuan, respectively. The roundtable forum was themed “The Second Half of New Tea Beverages—From a Hit Product to an Industrial Chain,” and discussed new tea-beverage trends, supply-chain coordination, brand globalization, and cultural empowerment.[1]

Standards development was another focus of this meeting. The meeting held a release ceremony for a series of jasmine tea standards, launched jointly by Lü Zirui, Deputy Secretary of the Hengzhou Municipal Party Committee, Mei Yu, Vice President of the China Tea Marketing Association, Zhou Li, expert at the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Xie Hongzhao, President of the Guangxi Standardization Association, and Dong Yan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Flower Association. The published standards cover full-process links including planting-base management, fresh-flower quality grading, cultivation techniques, and finished-tea processing, with the aims of improving the jasmine tea industry standards system, standardizing production management, stabilizing product quality, and facilitating market circulation. For procurement and quality assessment, these links mean that multiple nodes from fresh-flower raw materials to finished tea are brought within the standards framework, but specific indicators and implementation requirements remain subject to the official text of the standards.[1]

During the meeting, a display and tasting area for intensive jasmine processing products was also set up, exhibiting products such as extraction raw materials, snack foods, jelly, chocolate, and jasmine coffee beans, where supply and demand enterprises held discussions and matchmaking. Participants made on-site visits to the exhibition hall, intelligent production workshop, and jasmine flower study classroom of Guangxi Zhongken Tea Industry Co., Ltd. In the presentation, Lei Qiyun, Production Manager of Zhongken Tea Industry, introduced the company's practices from source planting control to intelligent production and processing, and from deep-processing research and development to a full-category brand layout. Xu Guohua, Administrative Manager, introduced practices for guaranteeing the supply of fresh-flower raw materials, stabilizing market transactions, and helping flower farmers increase their incomes. All the above content represents the enterprises' own statements.[1]
